Fantasy Football 2001
Dear Spin Stats/The Owner's Box User:
The Owner's Box has decided not to offer fantasy football products
for the 2001 season. Due to the current nature of the industry and
the low volume that we have for fantasy football, we cannot justify
the cost that is involved in running and supporting the football
systems. If you are a current baseball customer, this decision will
in no way affect our baseball systems.
We sincerely appreciate everyone's patronage over the years and do
not wish to leave anyone out in the cold over what product that they
are going to use to run their fantasy football league. Once we had
realized that we were not going to continue with our fantasy football
product line, we began calling reputable companies in the industry
that we had known for years. After talking with several of these
companies and looking into the offerings, we decided that the systems
at Sideline Software most closely resembled the products that we
offered at The Owner's Box.
In our conversations with Sideline Software, we worked out a deal so
that if you mentioned that you were a customer of Spin Stats or The
Owner's Box, you would receive a discount on your order from them.
Their standard fee for new customers of their desktop version is $65.
You will be able to receive this product for $50. Their web based
offering is priced at $69.95. You will be able to receive this product
for $59.95. Again, simply mention that you were a customer of Spin
Stats or The Owner's Box in order to receive the discount. Read below

MyFantasyLeague.com: (http://www.myfantasyleague.com) It is a complete
on-line based system that supports head to head as well as total points
leagues. It supports auction drafts and player salaries. The draft can
be conducted via email over a set period of time, or live with an on-line
chat room. Team owners can view 20 different reports to analyze players
and view weekly results. Commissioners can customize the site with their
own rules and many different appearance options.
FLM: (http://www.fflm.com) It supports head to head and total points
leagues. The scoring is extremely flexible with over 100 categories to
choose from. It can create 22 different reports, with loads of
customization options for each type of report. Reports can be viewed on
screen, printed out, sent via email, saved to a file, or saved in HTML
format to be displayed on a web page. It also includes an interactive
draft screen that can announce players as they are picked during your
draft, and includes support for auction drafts and salary cap leagues.
Both FLM and MyFantasyLeague.com have been available for 5 or more years,
so they are mature and stable products. They are both updated on a regular
basis to add new features based on customer requests.
